Turbulent atmosphere

Cloud creations that delight and frighten.

In my gallery I would like to present clouds from a slightly different side.T hese are clouds that appear at a specific moment. The moment of storm formation. I've been a storm hunter for several years, and whenever a storm appears on the horizon I know that various structures of interesting cloud creations will form in the sky, which sometimes give me a thrill, heralding the coming danger.

Linear structures, high-pitched convection, scowling shafts, and so-called isolations. This is what they are called in meteorology.

With linear structures, standing face to face in front of an approaching thunderstorm shows a long wide band of menacing longitudinal horizontal cloud, from which it is necessary to take shelter because behind it may appear lightning and intense rain and destructive wind. High uplifted convection is the cloud formation process of a thunderstorm. These are clouds that can reach heights of more than 10km, very photogenic if they are, for example, isolated in a clear sky. It also happens that such clouds are illuminated at sunset which shows their true beauty, creating an amazing spectacle in the sky. In today's busy life, it is sometimes worthwhile to stop and look at what is over our heads in a slightly different light.
